UDHAMPUR, Nov 11: As an initiative to assist and empower the local youth of Jammu & Kashmir for increasing prospects of future employment, the Army is organizing an art and painting training workshop from November 10 to 15 at Udhampur Garrison.
The event, under Operation Sadbhavana, was inaugurated by Lt Gen D S Hooda, GOC-in-C (Army Commander) Northern Command. The training workshop is also meant to hone the skills of the young children who intend to take art and painting as a future option. The workshop is being attended by local artisans and students from schools and colleges of the State.
The Army with this effort has reassured the locals of its commitment to enhance skills and activity thereby creating a window of opportunity for their growth in future.
