Army organizes ‘Sehat Hazaar Naimat’ Mela

SRINAGAR, Jan 11: Army today organized a mega medical cum veterinary camp- ‘Sehat Hazaar Naimat- in collaboration with district administration and NGOs in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
An Army spokesman said that a total of 1650 patients and more than 500 livestock were treated by 15 specialist doctors   including Army Medical Doctors, Surgeon, ENT specialist, Pediatrician, Medical specialist, Dentist, Eye specialist, Homeopathic & Unani Doctors.
“Apart from distribution of free medicines, facilities like ECG, vaccination and lab tests were provided free of cost to the people,” he said
“Anganwari staff was also incorporated in the camp that provided counseling, health and nutrition education regarding immunization, health checkups, ante natal & post natal check up etc to the people. Besides, a workshop was also conducted by a team of special nursing staff from an NGO for women of the area.
