SRINAGAR, Dec 27: A medical camp was organized by the Army under the aegis of Chinar Corps here at Pantha Chowk, to address the medical requirement of the local populace.
A total of three medical officers from the Army including a civilian Medical Officer along with ancillary staff were involved in the camp. Approximately 265 locals including 185 male, 45 female and 35 children of nearby places were provided medical assistance during the camp.
An awareness campaign was also conducted at the venue where health and mitigation measures on the issue like hygiene and sanitation, cold weather amelioration measures, communicable and non communicable diseases, water purification and water borne diseases were discussed and the populace was made aware of the preventive measures.
