Army organizes medical camp

JAMMU, Dec 26: Gurj Division under the aegis of Rising Star Corps today organized a medical camp for ex-servicemen and local population at Primary Health Centre, Bhoond.
A total of three doctors and 10 paramedics of the Indian Army along with two doctors from Basohli Government Hospital rendered services in the medical camp.  576 patients including 250 men, 216 women and 110 children took benefit of the camp.
A dental officer and a lady doctor were also made available during the medical camp for the people of Bhoond.  The aim of the medical camp was to reach out to the local population and spread awareness about basic cleanliness and health care issues to enable people of Bhoond to lead a more healthy life.
Meanwhile, Army doctors also organized a workshop for the local village volunteers highlighting health issues and educated them on hygiene and sanitation.
