Army organizes drawing competition

Srinagar, July 27: Army’s 22 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) organized a drawing competition for young school students at Seelu High School of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
An official said that a total of 200 students hailing from Behrampura, Dangerpora, Saidpura, Seelu and Model Town. “The students participated in three categories: below 8 yrs, 8-12 yrs and 12 and above. The themes decided for the competition were sunrise, rainy season, and pollution. Pollution is a global problem and since these children will now be the front bearers, it is obligatory for them to understand the nuances of such a problem,” the official said.
The competition saw a pro-active participation of young budding artists putting up a great show and exhausting their creative juice. The competition was sponsored by 22 RR in aspects of the material requirement.
