Srinagar, Sept 12: A blood donation camp was organized today by the Jammu & Kashmir Light Infantry Regimental Centre under the aegis of Chinar Corps at Rangreth in the outskirts of city to the run up of the Golden Jubilee of 1965 India-Pakistan War.
A defence spokesman said that approximately 500 Army persons donated the blood to Srinagar based Civil Hospitals. “The Chinar Corps Commander Lieutenant General Satish Kumar Dua inaugurated the blood donation camp for the noble cause,” he said.
“The blood donation camp was organised with a view to augment the stock of blood held with civil hospitals at Srinagar. Among the prominent dignitaries present, GOC Chinar Corps took the leading role in donating blood. Approximately 500 Army persons donated blood to LD Hospital and SMHS Hospital,” the defence spokesman said.
