Army organizes artificial limb, blood donation camp

JAMMU, Jan 19: Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, under Romeo Force, today organized a blood donation and artificial limb camp at Gambhir village near LoC in Rajouri district.
During this camp three artificial limbs were distributed to the differently abled locals by General Officer Commanding, Romeo Force.
On the occasion, a blood donation camp was also organized with the active co-operation from Blood Bank, District Hospital, Rajouri. 40 units of blood were donated during the camp. A library equipped with 1000 books and magazines was also handed over to the Gambhir Government High School.
The event helped to ameliorate the hardships of the beneficiaries who received artificial limbs and also educated the locals regarding the importance of blood donation and clear all the myths about blood donation.
The event was witnessed by a large number of locals including elders, women and children. In addition, prominent local personalities from Rajouri also came out in support of the success of this event.
