Army organises medical camp

JAMMU, Jan 25: The Army Battalion of the Gurj Division organised a free medical camp at Rajpura, here.
The camp was organised under Operation Sadbhavana, with an aim to spread awareness about basic cleanliness and health care issues, besides screening and early detection of lifestyle diseases, malnutrition, cataract and diabetes.
A total of seven doctors and paramedics of the Army along with three doctors from the District Hospital Samba took part in the camp.
The camp provided medical benefits and specialized treatment to over 1700 patients.
Besides routine medical cover, dental, eye and gynaecological care facilities were also made available during the camp for the people of the area. Medical aids were also presented to needy patients.
