JAMMU, June 6: A reach out campaign was organized in Government Degree College Samba by 129 Infantry Battalion of Army today.
More than 100 students of final year along with the faculty members of Govt Degree College Samba attended the campaign.
A presentation was given by Major Aijaz Ahmad Dar, in which the officer has briefed and guided the students about the procedure of joining Territorial Army as an officer. He spoke on environmental aspects and briefed the role of Ecological TA units. The unit is commanded by Col Nandu Kumar BN.
Prof Dr. GS Rakwal, Principal Govt Degree College Samba has also appreciated the role of Territorial Army and encouraged the students to join it as an officer.
