Army organises Blood Donation Camp

JAMMU, Aug 2: Army’s 43 Medium Regiment Jaurian, near here, today organized a Blood Donation Camp.
Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu region; Blood Transfusion Department of Government Medical College Hospital and J&K State Aids Control Society also coordinated in organising the Camp which was inaugurated by John Philips, Commanding Officer of 43 Medium Regiment.
The Camp was accomplished under the supervision of Dr. Divyanjana, Medical Officer.
Speaking on the occasion the Commanding Officer expressed gratitude towards all the organizations that helped in making the Camp successful.
He also thanked all the donors for voluntarily donating 127 units of blood during the Camp to save precious lives.
At the end Dr. Divyanjana made the officers and jawans aware that regular voluntary blood donation keeps a person healthy and fit.
She also informed that any healthy person between 18-65 years of age can donate blood and requested more and more persons to come forward for the noble cause.
