KISHTWAR, Jan 20: As part of Army Day celebrations, a blood donation camp was organised by the Jangalwar based Rashtriya Rifles in association with District Administration and Red Cross Society, Kishtwar.
In order to motivate the local youth and citizens for blood donation an awareness programme with a theme of ‘Share blood Save Life’ was also held on the occasion. The speakers highlighted the importance of blood donation and exhorted the volunteers to donate blood generously for saving the precious lives.
Dr. Parvez Ahmed Wani, Superintendent, District Hospital Kishtwar and Army Medical Officer of the battalion deliberated on the blood donation and said that blood donation is a noble cause and youth should voluntarily come forward for this cause.
The event received an overwhelming response with 117 local participants and 53 army personnel participated in this camp and donated the blood.
