SRINAGAR, Feb 6: To provide a platform for the underprivileged talented students of the Valley, the Army in collaboration with the Centre for Social Responsibility and Leadership (CSRL), a Delhi based NGO conceptualized an initiative in 2013 to set up a free residential coaching program for the Indian Institutes of Technology, Jammu & Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET) and other premier Engineering Colleges.
An Army spokesman said that Commander Dagger Artillery Brigade today visited Kashmir Super 50 students at Tattoo Ground, Srinagar and interacted with the students, Administrative Manager and the faculty members and emphasized on the importance of studies for the development of the Valley.
“Kashmir Super 50 has been one of the most successful projects undertaken by the Army in the Valley and has directly impacted the lives of a number of youths by providing them the right guidance and opportunity to make a career for themselves.  The project has equally helped the families of these youths in their growth and prosperity and the project is a major milestone towards bringing normalcy in the Valley,” he said.
