Srinagar : An army soldier was killed in a gun battle that raged this morning between army and a group of infiltrating militants in Tanghdar sector of North Kashmir near the Line of Control (LoC).
“A group of 5-6 militants has sneaked into Tanghdar area from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir and army has engaged them in a gun battle near the LoC since this morning”, a senior army officer said.
“One Indian army soldier has been killed in the fighting so far and the operation of the army against these infiltrators is going on”, the officer said.
