SAMBA, Oct 15: An Army jawan committed suicide by shooting himself with his own Service Rifle at 03000 hrs at Bari Brahmana today.
He has been identified as Puran Bahadur Thappa Mager with Army number 5053125. He was resident of Nepal. He was posted with 4/1 GR at 92 Inf. Brigade Bari Brahmana in Samba district.
Police said the dead body of Army jawan has been shifted to MH Satwari for postmortem. However the exact cause of his death was not known. The Bari Brahmana Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
