Army initiates medical training for youth

RAJOURI, July 22: Under Operation Sadbhavana  and in collaboration with CHC Kalakote, Rashtriya Rifles started a medical training course for 25 unemployed  youth. This course will be of 20 days and will culminate on August 10, 2013.
During the course youth will be imparted medical training including practical on first aid, vaccination, airway breathing  and circulation, dressing, injury management, measuring of BP, pulse and temperature, management of heat stroke, snake bite, burn injury, food poisoning cases, insect bite, cold injury besides medical care during medical evacuation,  basic anatomy and physiology  of human body.
Opening address of the course at CHC Kalakote was attended by  Commanding Officer Rashtriya Rifles Kalakote, Dr Suresh Gupta, (BMO) along with medical staff of CHC, Abdul Majid Tantray, Tehsildar Kalakote,  Sanjiv Suri, Principal Higher Secondary School, and other prominent citizens of the area.
