Army imparts computer coaching to girls

BHADERWAH, Feb 7: It was a dream come true for local girls belonging to remote areas of tehsil Bhaderwah, district Doda as month long Computer Coaching classes took them to the world of Information Technology.
The Computer coaching classes were organized under `Operation Sadhbhavana’ by the Rashtriya Rifles located at Bhaderwah under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Delta),   in collaboration with ‘Face Computer Institute’, Bhaderwah, for 30 girls from January 5 to February 7.
Such initiatives will greatly help in generating employment opportunities to the girls from socially and economically backward families and at the same time act as a powerful weapon to permanently erase ill effects of unemployment from the soil of Jammu & Kashmir.
The closing ceremony was inaugurated by the Commanding Officer, Rashtriya Rifles in presence of Zonal Education Officer and personnel from Education Department. Balkrishan, the Sarpanch of Panchayat Gutasa and Zameer Ahmed, Headmaster Government Middle School, Hanga, were also present during the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commanding Officer, Rashtriya Rifles said that “small scale industrialization and IT development is the order of the day for development in Bhaderwah and such courses will definitely assist in upliftment of girls and to enable them to come to the forefront of the society as skilled youth.
During the function, one of the students remarked that, this course is a golden opportunity for the girls to learn about computers and information technologies.
