SRINAGAR, May 10: Army today claimed to have flagged off a tour of at least 20 elderly men from Uri as under national integration tour ‘Sahrai-e-Quami’.
An Army spokesman said the 20 elders of remote areas of Karnah, Kupwara, are going to visit Chandigarh, Solan, Shimla from today till May 22.
The tour is based on the theme “Exposure to Rich Indian Heritage and Culture and Imbibing the Values of National Integration” and is planned to visit the Baglihar Dam, the IRCON Railway Tunnel, Universities and Educational Institutions including Punjab Engineering College, Military School Chail and APS Dagshai.
