JAMMU, Aug 13: An educational-cum-motivational tour for girls of Ramban District to Delhi and Udaipur was organized by Nachlana based Rashtriya Rifles Battalion from August 1 to August 12, 2014.
During their visit to Noida and Udaipur, the tour interacted with around 200 students of Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban, who had taken admission in Pacific University, Udaipur and Noida International University, Uttar Pradesh in 2013 to pursue free education under the Prime Minister special scholarship scheme.
The tour also interacted with students of Sri Venkateshwara College, New Delhi.
The girls were excited as most of them had stepped out of J&K for the first time.
Army also organized sightseeing for the tour members to places of historical importance in Delhi.
The 11 days tour was today flagged in by Lt Gen KH Singh, General Officer Commanding, White Knight Corps at Nagrota.
The GOC promised all assistance of Army in helping youth achieve their dreams.
