Army establishes Chinar 9 Jawan Club at Budgam village

Srinagar, Oct 26: Army today said as part of its ‘sustained initiatives’ towards a better tomorrow for the Kashmiri youth and with an aim to provide them a platform to come together for healthy interactions, a Chinar 9 Jawan Club was established at Kanyihom village of Magam area of Budgam district.
A defence spokesman said the club was inaugurated and dedicated to the youth by Kilo Force Commander, Major General Jarken Gamlin. “The gathering which included eminent educationists, civil dignitaries and religious teachers expressed their appreciation for this initiative and for the sustained efforts of the Army for the betterment of the youth in the Valley,” he said.
In his interaction with people during the event, the General Officer stressed about Army’s contribution in helping the people, through medical Camps, conduct of youth events, vocational, career oriented training and workshops, said the spokesman. He further added that the Army is always ready to help and forever committed to the masses.
