JAMMU, Mar 3:  In continuation with its gesture of lending helping hand to civilian population,  an Army unit  under Chenab Gunners displayed its prowess in a noble cause by organising a blood donation camp at Rakhmuthi/ Domana Military Station here today.
The event was organised under the Crossed Swords Division and the gesture also marked the 40th Raising Day of  the Regiment.  On this auspicious day, over 100 soldiers including officers and other ranks of  the unit donated blood.
The blood donation camp infact commemorated the Raising Day celebrations of the Unit.
This selfless act reaffirms the fact that the Indian Army apart from being the guardian against external aggression, has always contributed towards the well being of its countrymen.
The camp was organised with the support of six doctors and other technical staff from Jammu Medical College who reached the location with a fully automated blood harnessing vehicle.
