KALAKOTE, Aug 30: Under Operation Sadbhavana, furniture items were distributed to schools located at far flung areas of Kalakote region by Rashtriya Rifles Kalakote, under the aegis of Reasi based Rashtriya Rifles Headquarter, here.
The aim of the project is to uplift the standard of education and to provide facilities in the remote areas of Kalakote.
The project was initiated on the request of the village heads, teaching staff of the schools and local population.
This project will help in improving the standard of the class rooms.
A total of 26 desks / benches were provided to Government Primary School, Sujali Gala and Lambi Bari of district Rajouri.
Speaking on the occasion, Head Masters of Government Primary School Sujali Gala and Lambi Bari, while expressing gratitude to Army said that with the availability of desks and benches, students will have better environment for studies.
Students too were excited and motivated with the availability of furniture items in their respective schools.
Alamddin, Sarpanch Treru lauded the efforts of Army in extending a helping hand to the people of far-flung areas.
The event was attended by officers of Rashtriya Rifles Kalakote and Sarpanchs of Mathyani, Panglar and Treru.
