BHADERWAH, Nov 6: Rashtriya Rifles conducted “tailoring and embroidering training for women” under Operation Sadhbhavana which commenced today for a duration of one month at Bhalla.
The event was inaugurated by Prithvi Raj Manhas (retd IG, J&K), at Bhalla in presence of Talib Hussain, Sarpanch, Bhalla, Jagdish Kumar, Sarpanch, Seri and locals of nearby villages of Bhalla.
Women from social and economically backward strata of society will be trained on nuances of tailoring and embroidering by Nirjala Devi with an aim to enable them to stand on their own feet and become financially independent and self-employed.
The project aims to bring about advancement and empowerment among the trainees by way of imparting them a skill which would help them to pursue an independent vocation and independent individuals. A total of 30 women are participating in the training classes.
Earlier, during the inauguration ceremony, Prithvi Raj Manhas remarked, “The Army has always been on the forefront in organizing constructive activities for the locals, and we are thankful to the organization for this noble initiative of organizing tailoring and embroidering training for under privileged local ladies free of cost which will do them a lot of good to sustain their families.
