Army conducts medical camp, vocational training for women

JAMMU, Oct 3: Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under Delta Force organized a medical camp for the locals of Goha and conducted a vocational training camp for women of Nalla and Bhart.
The medical camp, which was organized today, was inaugurated by Riyaz Ahmed, Sarpanch Mangota, who assured the locals of unconditional and everlasting support of Army.
A medical team comprising of two Army doctors (including one lady doctor) and one civil doctor provided much needed specialized medical cover to the ladies, children and elderly people during the camp.
During the camp a total of 582 patients were treated which included 220 ladies, 199 men and 163 children. The medical representatives also distributed Health, Nutrition and Child Care pamphlets to the locals in order to spread medical awareness.
The vocational training camp for women was started on September 19 and concluded today. A total of 25 women attended the vocational training classes. During the camp, the women were trained on skills pertaining to Sewing, Knitting, Stitching, Tailoring and Embroidery.
