Army conducts interviews for jobs to Kashmir youth

SRINAGAR, June 15:   In  its efforts to bring normalcy and peace in Kashmir, Army took another initiative to provide job opportunities to the educated youth of the  area .
The Victor Force under the aegis of Chinar Corps,  collaborated with the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)  and acted as a medium between the youth and the company and organised  job interviews under the project  “Udaan” at Victor Force headquarters, Awantipur in Srinagar today.
A large number of youth from Pulwama, Budgam, Anantnag, Shopian, Ganderbal and Kulgam area arrived at the venue to avail this opportunity.  Telephonic interviews for nearly 100 shortlisted graduates/ PGs  were conducted  by the representatives   of TCS for which the administrative support was provided by the Army.
The selected candidates will undergo training at Kolkata  and then be provided employment in various sectors ranging from IT, Software Technology, Marketing etc through TCS.  During the  training period of 14 weeks,  the trainees will be provided Rs 200 per day  as stipend along with free boarding,  lodging  and air fare.
During the first year, the candidates will be paid Rs 15,000 every month as TCS employ.  TCS Udaan interviews are being facilitated by the Army at different locations in the Kashmir valley  in which large number of talented  men and women from Kashmir are being selected for the jobs.
