SRINAGAR, May 3: Army organized an interactive session with the Gujjars’ and Bakarwals’ from villages Banali, Barnet, Pakhlan, Batangi of Bela Salamabad region and discussed their impending migration towards Western Massif.
An Army spokesman said that both the communities put forward their views and established a common understanding on maintaining harmony and peaceful environment in the area.
He said the Army assured full cooperation and assistance to the communities in terms of medical assistance and security.
“They were also informed about the medical camp which is scheduled in the month of July at Karamthal. The interaction turned out to be fruitful as it was able to reach out to the Gujjar and Bakarwal community and the same was highly appreciated by them,” he said.
