NEW DELHI: Ahead of the Republic Day, Army chief Gen Dalbir Singh Suhag felicitated the winners of the National Bravery Award at a function here today.
Twenty-five children — 3 girls and 22 boys — have been selected for the award, including two posthumously, from across the country for their extraordinary acts of bravery.
Interacting with the children, the Army Chief asked them to continue doing well in life, work hard and be a role model for others. Many of them expressed their desire to join Army as officers.
“The children were proud and happy to have got this opportunity of meeting the Army Chief and later participate in the Republic Day parade,” a statement by the Army said. (AGENCIES)
