Army celebrates Corps Day

JAMMU, Dec 8: Army Service Corps celebrated its 260th Corps Day with enthusiasm.
The solemn occasion was marked by a wreath laying ceremony at “Veer Smriti” war memorialin Chandimandir. Maj Gen Harsh Chhibber, MG Army Service Corps, and all ranks of Headquarters Western Command Army Service Corps paid homage to the martyrs.
In its long cherished history, the Army Service Corps has displayed exceptional versatility; indomitable spirit and commendable ability to keep pace with the changing operational scenarios. The enviable list of gallantry award winners bear testimony of the Corps valiant prowess.
Lt Gen RP Singh, GOC-in-C, Western Command extended his greetings to all ranks, civilian employees, their families and veterans of the Corps on this day. He commended the Army Service Corps personnel for their invaluable logistics support all through the pandemic.
On this momentous occasion, the Army Service Corps fraternity re-dedicated itself to continue the march towards excellence in all the fields with utmost professionalism, devotion to duty and above all resolve to follow the motto, “Seva Asmakam Dharma”
