Arms, ammunition seized

JAMMU, Oct 12: Troops of 60 Rashtriya Rifles and police today busted two hideouts of the militants and recovered arms, ammunition and explosive material from there.
Reports said a joint team of 60 RR and Reasi police conducted searches at Makhiddhar forests on the basis of specific Intelligence inputs and destroyed a hideout of the militants. Recoveries made from the hideout included one AK-56 rifle, 18 AK rounds, two rusted magazines, 50 sniper rounds and two rusted rounds of 7.62mm Self Loading Rifle (SLR).
Another hideout was destroyed by Army and police at Dhanubhan near Ichni Nullah this afternoon, where one AK-56 rifles, three magazines and 40 rounds were recovered.
After effecting recoveries and destroying hideouts, Army and police conducted search operations in the surrounding areas. However, no arrests were made, reports said.
