APSCC delegation calls on Geelani, Mirwaiz

Srinagar, Aug 6: A delegation of All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) today called on separatist Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and stressed on maintaining brotherhood.
The delegation was led by APSCC chairman Jagmohan Singh Raina and during the meeting both the Hurriyat leaders said “they consider Sikhs as the part and parcel of Kashmiriyat and representation of secular Kashmir.”
“Geelani said that Sikhs and all minorities are safe in Kashmir and he also stressed on the paths of brotherhood at all costs under the extreme conditions of the Valley,” said a statement issued here by APSCC.
According to APSCC statement, Mirwaz said: “Sikhs living in village and remote areas are bold enough to face the odd situation and we are proud of it… my party is in continuous touch with the leaders of various districts of J&K for the well being of minorities.”
“APSCC said that on ground zero we are closely monitoring the situation and urged that during such war-like situation we should help each other without cast, colour and creed, so that we can minimize the suffering of each other,” the statement added.
