APS distributes relief material among flood victims

JAMMU, Sept 19: To extend immediate relief to the affected families in recent heavy rains and landslides in J&K, a team of Arya Pratinidhi Sabha (APS), J&K, today visited village Panjar- Saddal in district Udhampur and distributed relief material among the affected families.
On arriving there, first of all the Sabha members performed a Shanti Yagna praying Almighty to provide peace and prosperity in the State. Thereafter, the Sabha team distributed one kit per family containing the items of daily and urgent needs like plastic bucket, plastic mat, pulses, cooking oil, sugar, tea, salt, rusks, frying pan, candles, etc, to about 55 affected families as per a list provided by the concerned Naib Tehsildar.
The relief was also extended to five families of village Sorup staying in a school at vilage Kimchi.
The Sabha team which distributed relief material comprised of Prakash Arya, secretary, Sarvdeshik Arya Pratinidhi Sabha, Delhi, Vinay Arya, secretary, Delhi Arya Pratinidhi Sabha and Bharat Bhushan Arya, president, Rakesh Chohan, vice-president and Yogesh Gupta, treasurer, Arya Pratinidhi Sabha J&K.
It is pertinent to mention here that Arya Pratinidhi Sabha J&K has also opened a collection centre for relief material and cash donations at Arya Samaj, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu.
