Excelsior Correspondent

SRINAGAR, July 15: The State Vigilance Commission has summoned the Director Agriculture Kashmir for his personal appearance before the Commission on August 1, 2016 for explaining the reasons of inaction on his part in a complaint regarding appointment on fake and forged certificates of B Sc Agriculture degree obtained from Dr  B R Ambedkar University Agra.
The SVC had taken cognizance of  the complaint in this regard, according to which Aijaz Ahmad  son of Abdul Hamid of  Hardutoora Anantnag, was appointed on the basis of a fake B Sc  Agriculture Degree certificate obtained by him from Dr  B R Ambedkar University, Agra.
The report submitted before SVC  by Registrar Dr B R Ambedkar University Agra was forwarded to Departmental Vigilance Officer, Directorate of Agriculture, Kashmir for his recommendations to the  Director Agriculture Kashmir who in turn had to submit the final action taken report to the SVC by or before 04-04-2016. However, the Director Agriculture Kashmir failed to submit his action taken report in the matter by the deadline fixed by this Commission.
Pertinent to mention here that despite the knowledge of this illegal appointment on a fake degree, the Director Agriculture Kashmir failed to take action against the culprit who is still continuing in the Government job.
The State Vigilance Commission, while taking a serious note of the matter,  has sought personal appearance of the Director Agriculture Kashmir before this Commission on August 1, 2016, to explain his continued inaction by him in such an open fraudulent case, which is being referred to the Crime Branch for registering FIR in this regard.
