Appoint J&K based bureaucrats on provincial posts: Shiv Sena

Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU, Mar 10: Shiv Sena J&K has expressed resentment against the continuation of discrimination as well as step motherly treatment with J&K based JKAS/IAS officers even after the abrogation of Article 370 from the erstwhile J&K State.
In a press conference here today Manish Sahni, president J&K Shiv Sena demanded appointment of local bureaucrats on all the provincial level posts in J&K administration.
He claimed that after J&K became Union Territory, the bureaucracy here is being dominated by the officers from other parts of the country due to which cultural, social and language of J&K is being severely affected. Sahni further claimed that bureaucrats from outside are neither aware of local language not issues and they have nothing to do with the culture of J&K due to which the Government is proving unsuccessful in establishing better coordination with the people and their issues.
He demanded that the Union Government should take a decision on posting J&K based officers to important posts with immediate effect failing which Shiv Sena may adopt the path of agitation.
Shiv Sena general secretaries, Vikas Bakshi and G.I Singh; chairman, Rakesh Gupta; vice president, Harsh Gupta and others were also present on the occasion.
