Apni Party stresses for women empowerment

JAMMU, May 6: The Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party today pitched for the empowerment of women in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a joining programme at the Party office in Gandhi Nagar, its president, Altaf Bukhari welcomed several women who joined the party and hoped that their joining would strengthen the Party. He assured that the Party will work to resolve the public issues.
The programme was organized by senior woman wing leaders Pavneet Kour, Rupali, Nisha and District president women wing, Sarbjeet Kour.
Bukhari appreciated the women wing of the Party for working among the people and highlighting the issues of the people especially women for their redressal.
He said that Apni Party supports social, political and economic upliftment of the women by providing them equal educational, employment, political or entrepreneurship opportunities.
“If Apni Party forms the next Govt in J&K, our focus will be development, improvement in the education system and health infrastructure,” Bukhari claimed.
He, however, criticized the Delimitation Commission report for ignoring the aspiration of the people despite representation presented to them by the people from various constituencies. He said that the Commission has worked in a biased manner.
