Apni Party for hike in cash assistance of DPs from Valley

JAMMU, Feb 1: Apni Party has demanded enhancement of cash assistance for the displaced persons from Kashmir valley.
Former minister and vice president Apni Party, Usman Majid, Ex-MLC and general secretary Apni Party Vijay Bakaya, Ex-MLC and vice president Jammu Province, Syed Asgar Ali, Provincial president Women Wing Jammu province, Namrta Sharma and Trade Union leader Ajaz Qazmi, Sanjay Dhar, Abhay Bakaya and others addressed the party meeting and urged upon the Government to enhance monthly cash assistance from Rs 13000 to 25,000 per month in view of present hike in daily essential commodities, one job per family, political reservation in the new political scenario, construction of addition accommodation for PM package employees working in Valley, updation and rectification of voter lists and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits back in Valley with honour and dignity.
Usman Majid recalled the contribution that KP’s made to Kashmir society and admired the community for having preserved their traditions and cultural identity. He stated that the Apni Party had emerged as a political outfit which would take the people on the path of development and refrain from divisive politics and hollow promises.
Vijay Bakaya said that time had come for the community to assert itself politically by supporting the Apni Party which was the only party which was working towards reducing the trust deficit that existed between the people of Kashmir and the Govt of India which listened to leaders of the Apni Party headed by Altaf Bukhari and had addressed many issues brought to its notice.
