Sagar, Prof Zutshi among recipients
of Harmukh awards

JAMMU, Feb 23: Harmukh Ganga (Gangbal) Trust (HGGT) in association with All Parties Migrants Co-ordination Committee (APMCC) organized Annual Gangbal Awards ceremony and also released the complete documentary on Shardha Peeth, Titled “Struggle for Shardha, here, today in which prominent personalities of Kashmiri Pandit community and organizations were awarded in recognition of their contribution to community, society and nation as a whole.
Tearful Shradanjali was paid to core APMCC member Ravinder Badam who passed away recently and was considered as a pillar for APMCC-HGGT activities.
A documentary produced by HGGT-APMCC edited and directed by King C Bharati, national spokesperson APMCC and journalist was also released on the occasion. The script of the documentary was written by Dr Agnishekher, convener Panun Kashmir, narration recorded and edited by veteran, music director, Kuldeep Saproo while famous actor, director Vijay Dhar gave his voice for the project.
The awards were given away by the dignitaries to KP martyrs posthumously in recognition of their tremendous contribution towards upliftment of the community and their contribution to the nation as a whole, King Bharati, said.
Ashok Koul, general secretary (Org) BJP was the chief guest while Priya Sethi, former Minister, Advocate Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor, JMC, Prof Veena Pandita, Chairman JK BOSE, TK Bhat, Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner were the guests of honour.
Prominent personalities of the community were given awards included J N Sagar (Pt. Kalhan Award), Prof B L Zutshi (Lalitaditya Muktapida Award), Sunil Raina Rajanak (Abhinav Gupt Award), Core Shardha Group (Laleshwari Award), Dr Neeru Kharu, (Kota Rani Award, Sharika Diagnostic Centre (Shriya Bhat Award), Ajay Takoo (Harmukh Gangbal Award), Rakesh Bhat (GAD) (Pt Kashyap Bandhu Award)and Rinkoo Raj (Posthumously)(Martyr Ashok Raina Award).
Dr Agnishekher, Kuldeep Saproo and Vijay Bhat were present special mementoes on the occasion while chief guest and guests of honour were also presented a memento and a shawl by the organization.
An impressive slide show and Gangbal song about the activities of APMCC and HGGT was also displayed on the occasion.
Vinod Pandit, chairman APMCC spoke about the APMCC and its future plans particularly APMCC’s movement to rebuild ancient Martand Surya Temple of Kehribal, Anantnag.
Anil Bhat, president HGGT threw light on Sharda script and its importance while Arun Kandroo general secretary presented vote of thanks. Others who spoke on the occasion included Sanjay Koul while Kusum Tikoo, senior anchorperson and prominent artists Kanwal Peshin conducted the show.
Prominent among those present include Advocate Ravinder Raina and Dr TK Bhat of ASKPC, MK Yogi NC, Ravinder Kuchroo BJP, Ashok Kangan, Kuldeep Raina, Vijay Kumar Koul, PN Shad, Ashok Dhar and others.
