JAMMU, Apr 17: All Parties Migrant Coordination Committee (APMCC) has strongly condemned illegal and forced detention of its two leaders by Ramban police yesterday.
In a statement issued here today APMCC while condemning the arrest of Vinod Pandit its chairman and its national spokesperson King C Bharti termed it the violation of the fundamental rights of the citizens.
Alleging that their detention was a conspiracy, Vinod Pandit that the two leaders had no intention to visit the newly found cave of Lord Shiva at village Krawa in Banihal and were on their way to Kashmir Valley to finalize the forthcoming religious events to be held in various temples there when they were stopped at Ramsoo and detained for over eight hours.
King C Bharti said that police paid no heed to their pleas that they were on their way to Kashmir and were detained under section 107/151 forcing them to seek bail from court of law. He said the whole episode was well planned to deny the Kashmir Pandits their fundamental rights.
