JAMMU, Apr 17: Eleven Star Pathankot and New Hockey Club, Gurdaspur registered wins and entered into the semis of the ongoing Hockey Tournament, being organised by Young Heroes Hockey Club at Mini Stadium, Hiranagar.
In the first quarterfinal match, Eleven Star, Pathankote thrashed Rajput School, Sujanpur by 3-1 goals and advanced to semis. For Eleven Star side, Mukesh Kumar, Darbesh and Ateesh scored the goals.
In the second quarterfinal match, New Hockey Club, Gurdaspur beat Poonch Eleven by 2-1 goals and sailed into semifinal. For New Hockey Club, the goals were scored by Gurpreet Singh and Gursahib Singh.
During the first match, Sudesh Kumar Sethu, a social worker was the chief guest, while in the second match, Jaswant Singh, Patron, Young Heroes Hockey Club was the chief guest. Besides, Dheeraj Gupta and Sunil Dutt were also present.
