JAMMU, Oct 12: Association of Industries- Gangyal, has urged upon the Government for the refund of SGST for the micro and small industries in the J&K State.
An a meeting of the Association of Industries, Gangyal, Jammu held under the chairmanship of senior vice president, Bansi Lal Gupta today at AoI Bhawan, Gangyal, the members discussed the fallout of the scheme of budgetary support under the GST regime issued by Department of Industrial Policy Promotion (DIPP), Government of India. In the meeting the scheme was discussed threadbare and members of the firm opinion that the notification of Central Government is an eyewash and no benefit is visible in the Scheme for the industry.
The members asked the office bearers of the Association to request the State Government to issue SRO / Notification of SGST refund at the earliest. As the micro and small industry has paid GST taxes for two months and their CC limits has already exhausted and if the already paid GST not refunded, the industry will be unable to pay the taxes for the month of September-2017.
Further, the members also asked the office bearers to request the Ho’ble Chief Minister Madam Mehboba Mufti to approach the Central Govt. for issuance of fresh notification, so that new industry can be set up in J&K for the development of the State as there is nothing in the notification dated October 5, 2017 for the industry.
The meeting was attended by Ashok Jain (vice president), Pardeep Vaid (general secretary), Sandeep Ohri ( secretary) and other prominent members present including Balbir Gupta (Ex-chairman, FOI-Jammu), Tejwant Singh Reen (Ex-chairman, FOI-Jammu), Anil Gupta & Ganesh Koul ( Ex-senior vice president, AOI), Kuldeep Ohri (Ex- general secretary, AOI) and others.
