Cong should clear its stand on Gupkar Alliance: HP CM

JAMMU, Nov 25: The Gupkar Alliance and Congress again came to a severe attack from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national leaders during their campaigning for District Development Council (DDC) elections in Jammu region today.
While Union Minister of Finance, Anurag Thakur strongly advocated for filing of case against former Chief Minister, Dr Farooq Abdullah for cheating , forgery and encroachment, the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Jai Ram Thakur asked the Congress to clear its stand whether it supports Gupkar Alliance who have refused to take Tricolour in the hand or it is with the national cause. Addressing the election meetings at Pinther and Mandli in Billawar tehsil of Kathua district Jai Ram Thakur lambasted Congress for making one statement in New Delhi and another in Kashmir. He asked the people to see through the game plan of Congress which is ganging up with the people who are opposed to take the Tri Colour in their hand in Kashmir Valley.
The HP Chief Minister, who is on two days campaigning in Kathua district while addressing in the election meetings in support of BJP candidates said that the West Pak refugees and Balmiki Samaj was deprived of their rights due to Article 370 in J&K. The West Pak refugees who settled in other parts of J&K rose to the level of Prime Ministers and Deputy Prime Minister, while those who preferred to put up in J&K were deprived of their citizenship rights for 70 long years which was a grave injustice with these hapless people. Along with them the Balmiki Samaj who were brought in J&K by the administration for service purposes were also denied their rights till 70 years and it was the only BJP Government at Delhi led by Narendra Modi which has undone with this grave injustice, he added.
Terming the abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A a commitment made by the BJP since Praja Parishad Movement, Thakur said “We fulfilled this commitment”. He lashed out at leaders of Gupkar Alliance and said its top leadership are involved in Rs 25,000 crore Roshni land scam. They had said that Rs 25,000 crore will be generated through Roshni while only Rs 76 crore were earned.
Thakur said under the Modi Government J&K has tread on path of progress and development as a good network of roads has been constructed while work on others is going on. He appealed the people to vote in favour of BJP candidates in the ensuing elections.
Continuing with his questioning on Gupkar Alliance unlawful activities, Anurag Thakur, Union MoS Finance & Election Incharge J&K said that lawsuit should be filed on Farooq Abdullah for cheating, forgery and encroachment of public property.
Anurag Thakur held the NC, Congress, PDP responsible for the mess in the erstwhile J&K State and said, “they are guilty for looting the valuable resources and vast areas of public of land in J&K. He said, “beneficiaries of Roshni scam were former Ministers of Gupkar Gang and Congress and their relatives, senior bureaucrats, businessmen and political leaders who were financing these parties.
He said, “during earlier regimes of these parties, J&K residents were forced to lead a life of hardships and face a web of systematic failures due to inefficient administration by the PDP, NC and Congress leadership.”Thakur demanded that a formal case must be registered against Farooq Abdullah for cheating, forgery and encroachment of public property.
He said, “nobody is above law and expressed confidence that soon all the other corruption cases and forgeries will be in the public domain soon.”
Thakur also said that the residents of J&K are due to witness an unprecedented development at par with other developed states of India.
He said that with the abrogation of Article 370, Modi Government has opened way for the uninterrupted growth in Education, Healthcare, Tourism, Business and other sectors while also ensuring that equal opportunity is served to every person living in J&K.
Anurag Thakur was also accompanied by BJP national secretary, Dr. Narinder Singh, BJP vice-president and former Minister, Sham Lal Sharma, district president, Jagdish Bhagat, Prabhari Karan Singh, former MLA, Rajeev Sharma, former MLA Dr. Krishan Lal, BJP secretary Vikas Choudhary, Ajay Pargal, Parimoksh Seth, Gourav Pargal and other senior party leaders while he addressed series of election rallies at Khour, Bhalwal Brahmana, Sungal, Akhnoor.
The election rallies were held in favour of Suraj Singh in Khour, Bhushan Bral in Bhalwal Brahmana and Sharda Devi in Sungal, Akhnoor.
National general secretary, BJP, Tarun Chug also lambasted former J&K Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah for seeking help from China in restoring Article 370 in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a public meeting close to the LoC in Ramgarh near Samba, Chug said while Abdullah was asking for a helping hand from China and Pakistan people on the border areas were living in fear and distrust due to periodic shelling of missiles and bombs by the Pakistan Army.
“The Abdullah family has all along lived a self-centered life to build their fortunes while putting the entire population of J&K is in peril”, said Chug. The Abdullah family has no concern with the common man and his problems, he added.
Chug said the Abdullah and the Mufti families have in the last 50 years befooled the people of the region. “All laws and administrative orders were made not for common man but for their family interests”, he added. Both the families sent their sons and daughters abroad for studies but left the children of common man uncared for, without schools, without food.
” Had the two families used the Central Government funds judiciously the entire J&K population would have been living in a paradise today. He said the Centre Government provided crores of rupees for the development and welfare of J&K, but the two families deprived the common man of all benefits and filled their family coffers”, Chug said.
