JAMMU, Sept 11: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Anu Bali today kick started up-gradation work of two lanes by starting tile and drain work in Ward number 24 at the cost of Rs. 5 lakh.
A handout stated that the lanes were in dilapidated condition since long and the residents were facing a lot of problems while passing through these lanes.
Speaking on the occasion Bali appealed the general public to come forward and cooperate with JMC in development works within the city.
She also urged upon the residents to avoid single use plastic, polythene bags in their routine work, don’t throw debris, garbage filth etc in drains, lanes and nallahs.
Bali asked locals to adopt the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at their own level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean, green and beautiful city.
Arun Chhibber, Sachin Khanna, Dharam Vir Gupta, Atul Bakshi, JMC Councillor, Surinder Choudhary and others were present on the occasion.
