Anti-Pak protests at Poonch, Reasi

JAMMU, Jan 16: Anti- Pakistan protests were held by people in Poonch and Reasi towns for the barbaric killing of two Indian soldiers in Mendhar sector by Pakistani troops and killings of large number `Shia’ Muslims by the members of the other section in that country.
A large number of BJP and Bajrang Dal activists besides other people took out a strong protest march in Poonch city this evening. BJP district president Sunil Gupta was leading. He was accompanied by BJYM district chief Pardeep Sharma.
The protest march started from Pritam Park and moved towards main bazaar. After passing through various markets, the protest march culminated at Fort complex. The people were raising anti-Pak and anti-Pak Army slogans. They raised slogans in praise of Indian Army and Army Chief. They demanded that lesson should be taught to the Pakistan Army for this barbaric act. A candle light procession was also taken out in the evening.
Another strong protest march was taken out by Shia Muslim community members in Poonch town this afternoon. Community leader Ghulam Hussain Zaffri was leading the protest. They were raising slogans against Pakistan Government. They also shouted slogans in the praise of Indian Army and demanded that Pakistani troops deserve no excuse and they should be punished for the barbaric beheading of two Indian soldiers.
They also strongly protested the killings of 90 Shia Mulsims in Pakistan by the people from other sect and demanded action from the world community and United Nations against that country. They alleged that Pakistan has failed to protect its innocent citizens.
Meanwhile, activists of Bajrang Dal and Youth Brigade Welfare Society, took out a joint protest march in the Reasi town this afternoon. Led by Varun Sharma and Ishan Magotra, the activists of BD and NGO, raised slogans against Pakistan and its Army. They demanded that counter attack be launched against Pakistani troops for the barbaric killing of Indian soldiers in Mendhar. After passing through main bazaar the protest march culminated near bus stand.
