MENDHAR, Jan 15: Tehsil Administration Mendhar launched an anti- encroachment drive last night on the main road / bus stand and removed various encroachments.
The drive was launched on the direction of the DC Poonch. The team headed by Tehsildar Dr Vikram Kumar conducted the drive under the supervision of SDM Mendhar, Dr Sahil Jandyal. Naib Tehsildar Ashfaq Ahmed fani also assisted the team. The team removed encroachments made by the shopkeepers and other Rehari-Farhi Wallas on main road and bus stand area.
During the campaign, the encroachers were given warning to desist from such practice in future. In addition to this, all the unauthorized Reharis/Pharies were also removed from these areas. The objective of the campaign was to aware general public about sanitation, encroachments of footpaths/pavements, illegal constructions by encroaching lanes/drains/ nallahs etc.
