JAMMU, June 1: An anti drug cum road show was organized by Utsav Celebration Committee on the roads of Shiv Nagar, Shakti Nagar and Rajpura, today.
On the occasion, people from different walks joined the noble cause and teachers and students of the Government and private schools of the area participated in the rally with great enthusiasm.
The rally was flagged off by Member of Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma, in presence of Commissioner JMC, Sojanya Sharma and Superintendent of Police, Shiv Kumar Chouhan from Om Palace, Shakti Nagar and after passing from different market of Shiv Nagar, Shiv Nagar and Rajpura the road show has culminated at Om Palace, where the guests felicitated the students of school, women organization and different social personalities participated in the rally with the mementoes presented by UCC.
Special vote of thanks to guests and other dignitaries was presented by ex-Corporator Shiv Nagar (ward number 33).
Others present in the rally were Chander Mohan Gupta, Tilak Raj Sharma, Ved Parkash Gupta, L D Gorka, Ajay Gupta and Ravinder Gupta.
The schools who participated in the rally were Government Girls High School, Rajpura, Jyoti Parihar Public High School, Rajpura, S D Public School, Shakti Nagar, Ambedkar Convent School, Rajpura and others.
