JAMMU, July 30: Anti Narcotic Task Force today apprehended one narcotics dealer and recovered huge quantity of Charas from his posession
“On a specific input that a vehicle TATA Safari bearing registration number RJ06UA-8371 carrying huge quantity of drugs is coming from Kashmir, ANTF laid nakas at various places at the outskirts of Jammu City and intercepted the said vehicle near Environmental Park, NHW Narwal bye pass road, Jammu,” a spokesman of ANTF said.
He said on thorough checking of the vehicle, huge quantity of charas (8.5 kg approximately) was recovered and one narcotics dealer was arrested from the vehicle. The accused was identified as Panu Ram son of Durga Ram, resident of Shivpura, district Pali (Rajasthan). The whole operation was conducted by the ANTF team under close supervision of Deputy SP Arun Jamwal, SHO Police Station ANTF, Jammu Division and Vinay Sharma, SSP ANTF J&K.
Accordingly, a case under FIR number 08/2022 under Section 08/20 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station ANTF Jammu. “The investigation is at initial stage and ANTF is investigating the forward and backward links of this consignment and more arrests are expected,” the spokesman added.
