JAMMU, Apr 7: As part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Jammu today organised an awareness programme on drug abuse at VK Sarvodaya Middle School, Rajeev Nagar.
As per a statement, around 300 students, staff members, and locals participated in the event.
The session was addressed by SSP ANTF Raj Kumar and DySP Tanweer Geelani, who highlighted the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of preventive measures.
Students were encouraged to stay away from drugs and take part in sports and other healthy activities.
The officers stressed that awareness and early action are key to keeping youth away from drugs.
Participants were also urged to report any suspicious activities related to drug peddling or smuggling to law enforcement agencies.
Special emphasis was laid on keeping school surroundings free from such elements.
The students were advised to spread awareness among their peers and help build a drug-free society.
