JAMMU, Mar 4: A notorious drug peddler was arrested under the PIT NDPS Act by Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) here today.
Mohammad Arif alias Kaka Billa of Kordi Thyal, Tehsil Ramkote, District Kathua, was booked under the PIT NDPS Act after obtaining formal detention orders from competent authority, said an ANTF official.
“Inspite of the involvement of the accused in several cases of NDPS, he was continuously promoting drug trade among the youth by supplying them with drugs and evading his arrest for the past several months,” he said.
Acting on specific information, he added that a team of Police Station ANTF Jammu led by Inspector Sanjeet Sharma and Inspector Nayat Ali on the directions of Tanweer Ahmed, DySP ANTF under the overall supervision of Raj Kumar, SSP ANTF Jammu and Kashmir raided the suspected location and arrested the accused under the PIT NDPS Act.
