JAMMU, Dec 26:
The winter capital of the State today witnessed another cold day with minimum temperature recorded five degrees below normal.
The minimum temperature recorded yesterday in Jammu was season’s minimum 4.3 Degree Celsius. Earlier, on December 18 the minimum fell to 4.5 Degree Celsius.
“The cold conditions will continue and in the coming days, rains, snow and haze is predicted in the region,” weatherman predicted.
He said the minimum temperature today was recorded 4.3 Degree Celsius and warned that the cold weather conditions will further intensify.
Meanwhile, one flight from Jammu to Srinagar was cancelled and several others were delayed due to dense fog, official sources said here.
The sources said several Jammu-bound trains also departed or arrived hours late due to the fog.
Fog gripped Jammu region while the sun played hide and seek forcing people to stay indoors.
Labourers and roadside vendors were seen burning coal and wood to keep themselves warm.
All Government and private schools have been closed from today for winter vacations till January 3.
