JAMMU, Nov 5: The ancient Bhairav Mandir, in the heart of City of Temples, has announced the schedule of much awaited annual Kaal Bhairav Ashtami celebrations.
In a press conference here today head priest of the temple, Pandit Rumil Sharma has said that many programmes have been organized this year to celebrate Kaal Bhairav Ashtami with fervor and gaiety. Click here to watch video
“On November 10 a Prabhat Pheri will be organized at 5:00 am in which devotees will take out a religious procession which will pass through different places in the city reciting devotional songs in the praise of Bhagwan Bhairav Nath Ji and after this there will be a Bhandara where the devotees will be served Prasad,” Pandit Rumil Sharma said.
He also said that on November 14 there will be Peeron Ka Bhandara, while on November 18 there will be Batuk Bhandara and Kaal Bhairav Ashtami will be celebrated on November 19 and there will be a congregation of 52 Biradaris on this day which will also be followed by a Bhandara.
“On November 20 there will be final Bhandara and announcement of date and time of Dand Fanda will be made on this day,” the priest informed making an appeal to the devotees from different parts of the State to join the religious event to seek the blessings of Bhagwan Bhairav Nath Ji.
He also said that a meeting was organized today wherein arrangements and programmes of Kaal Bhairav Ashtami were discussed and responsibilities were fixed to the members of Bhairav Mandir to make the annual Bhandara successful.
