SAMBA, Jan 8: The annual convention of Life Insurance Agents’ Federation of India (LIAFI), Divisional Council J&K, was held today at a hotel in Vijaypur.
All India secretary general of the Federation, Syamal Chakraborty was the chief guest while Satinder Singh Kala, vice-president, HQ Delhi, Ram Naresh Tiwari, secretary, North Zone and Moti Singh, vice-president, North Zone, were the guests of honour.
During the convention, Shyamal Chakraborty elaborated about the charter of demands of the Agents’ Federation and Federation’s achievements regarding those demands. He informed the gathering that due to the sustained efforts of the Federation the Group Insurance to all agents who have completed minimum 10 years of their agency has been enhanced from Rs five lakh to Rs 10 lakh.
He stressed on the vision of LIC of India of insuring every citizen of India by 2020 and called upon the agents’ community to work day and night to achieve this goal.
Satinder Singh Kala, spoke about the initiative taken by HQ Delhi and Ram Naresh Tiwari assured the All India secretary general about North Zone’s commitment to LIAFI ideals and vision.
Senior Divisional Manager, TS Bali, outlined Corporation’s goals regarding agents’ welfare and policy holders’ protection.  Marketing Manager, Ashok Thakur informed the agents about the unique features of the Insurance product range available with the LIC of India.
North Zone vice president, Moti Singh and Divisional president, J&K, Ravinder Kumar Sharma highlighted the achievements of LIAFI, J&K.
Others who spoke on the occasion were Rakesh Magotra, Divisional president, NFOIFW, DL Verma, central executive council member and Pardeep Sharma, resident secretary.
