JAMMU, Oct 9: Congress has questioned that announcement to include left out 5300 POK families in financial package is not violation of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) for BDC elections
The state had come under Model Code of Conduct on September 30, 2019 due to announcement of election schedule for BDC elections. These families have roots and family members in the State, hence, extending this benefit at this time will influence the elections and thus violation of Model Code of Conduct (MCC), a PCC hand out said.
The Congress said that Election authorities must take cognizance of the matter.
